France.-The voice of the French people is heard and felt in municipal elections, and has been involved in a fall in of the number of active bullrings. Bullfighting activity has been stopped in the town of Fenouillet and, two more spectacles of death have been stopped in Caissargues. There is always great opposition after this type of spectacle. The numbers are irrefutable: there has been a 12% fall in bullfights in recent years, and 19 % in ´novillas´(bullfights using young bulls).
