Alliance Anti-corrida reacts

The Association Alliance anti-corrida (Anti bullfight Alliance), alerted by the parents of pupils at an institute of Nîmes, had to intervene when the Spanish teacher proposed to invite to the school a representative of the Museum of Bullfighting Cultures. His proposal was sparked when children of the 6th year (11 years of age) said that they wanted to do a presentation on bullfights. In 2008 the French Department of Education issued a circular letter which stipulated that “ it is not a part of the committment of the National Education to promote bullfights to children ”. In the end it was decided by the Director of the Institute that, although the children will be allowed to do the presentation, there will be no invitation issued to any representative of the Museum of Bullfighting Cultures to visit the school
