Bullfights : a Cultural Legacy?

Madrid, September 2011 .- In Las Ventas the President of the Federation of Bullfighting associations Luis Gibert presented a new action to promote the petition in favor of the pro bullfighting Popular Legislative Iniciative ILP. So far they have collected 300,000 signatures – 500,000 are needed . It would seem that teh Fedration has seen a lack of support coming from many bullfighting clubs and associations and this has led the federation to change its strategy. Among other changes it has begun to issue signature sheets that hold just ten signatures. Hopefully, for the good of the community as well as that of the bulls, this ILP will not prosper.
