Complaints against correbous

Amposta, Tarragona, September 2011 .- Anti-bullfighting associations and organizations have begun to gather evidence of illegal ill treatment of bulls forced to participate in the running of the bulls. The evidence will include flim footage of bulls being kicked and punched that Aida Gascon, Director of Anima Naturalis in Spain and PACMA delegate maintains is happening in all forms of “correbous”. Other evidence will show that children under 14 and people under the influence of alcohol are participating in these events even though this is specifically prohibited by law. Lluís Altés, president of ACTYMA feels skeptical about these infractions and points out that “the new standard is not designed to protect animals but to block any denunciation.” (Source:El Periódico de Catalunya)
