Ministry and bulls

September 2011.- Last July responsibility for bullfighting issues was taken from the Home Office and given to the Ministry of Culture in fulfillment of a promise made to pro bullfighters by the former Minister Rubalcaba, now the Socialist Party candidate. The desicion to make bullfighting a matter of culture is, above all, a political one because in fact only a couple of adminsitrative matters were actually still under the responsibility of the Home Office. It is only the last of a series of reversals and disagreements of a government which has obviously lost its way. However any change will unfortunately only worsen things for the bulls . This action merely serves to confirm Spain as a cruel country that is insensitive to the welfare of animals
