Nimes, September 2011.-The associations; CLAM of Montpellier, CRAC Europe and the group Lutèce distributed pamphlets during the Nimes’s feria , against bullfights. They also organized a concerted protest in front of the bullring at the foot of the statue of the bullfighter Nimeño II. Nevertheless, although the demonstration was peaceful and properly authorized by the Prefecture, the demonstrators were violently attacked by pro bullfight supporters. (Source CRAC Europe)
