The critical situation of bullfighting

Madrid, November 2011- Simón Casas and Antonio Matilla, bullfighting entrepreneurs, have decided to join together as partners to manage the Madrid bullring “Las Ventas”. Bullfight supporters recognize the bad time bullfighting is having, which is why the President of Taurodelta, José Antonio Martinez Urando, has stated that “the bullfighting clases cannot be allowed the luxury of going it alone and that “the fiesta (bullfighting event) is in a critical situation”. Would it not be better to raise the serious question about whether these cruel spectacles should be permitted to go on at all?
