Nimes, France. – Last October, during the celebration of the Congress of the Federation of Bullfighting Societies, one again the decline of bullfighting in Nimes was demonstrated. According to the President of the Federation, the majority of the bullfights are staged only for the few tourists who only attend because it is a novelty and are interested only on seeing a large number of ears and tails cut from the bulls. Let’s hope that the trend for certain businessmen in adding yet more suffering and cruelty to this type of spectacle in Nimes will finish by moving consciences and sensibilities so that an immediate end will be brought to public and shameful torture against bulls.
