Jerez, Andalucía. – The bullfighting world has been rocked by the scandal of the detention last Thursday, the 17th, of the bull killer Juan Pedro Galán, in Jerez when it came to light that the organization managed by supposed lady´s man Galan together with others of his family in Cadiz and Malaga employs some 150 prostitutes.
Apparently it was no secret that the bull killer had been heavily involved in this business for many years Although retired from the bullring, the nature of the family business was known in the bullfighting world as long ago as the eighties, at the time when Galen was sent to Mexico at ten years of age to be turned into that lamentable object, a “child toreador”. His bullfighting career was short lived and it seems that in later years he has occupied himself in another kind of business, apparently quite successfully; at least until now. (February, 2010.)
