Carles Puyol comes out in favor of the animals

Barcelona.- The captain of the Football Club Barcelona and defender of the Spanish selection Carles Puyol has said categorically that he would vote for the prohibition of bullfights in Catalonia: “Yes I would prohibit the bullfights” Puyol assured a reporter of the newspaper “El País”. This is a further demonstration of the innumerable statements of support for the ILP to ban bullfighting has received, amongst which may be counted that of the actor, scriptwriter and British producer Ricky Gervais, one of the most influential persons of the world according to Time magazine. Mr. Gervais’s YouTube video, which calls to people all over the world to show their support to this initiative, has had enormous media impact.
